The Asclepius Initiative was recently featured on Spectrum News 1 to talk about what’s at stake as enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies are set to expire at the end of 2025.
These subsidies, first introduced in 2021, have helped make health coverage more affordable for thousands of Kentuckians. Without action to extend them, costs could rise for people who buy coverage through the Marketplace, known as kynect in Kentucky, and even for those with job-based insurance.
